FBT Year Ending Selector on the Employee Package Item Screen

Overview

A new FBT Year Ending selector on the Employee Package Item screen lets you review an item's Life Budget and Life Disbursements for a single FBT year at a time, instead of only the whole-of-life total.

How the Selector Works

  • The selector appears inside the Item Summary section, for any Item with a linked Contract (including direct-link vehicle items).

  • It defaults to '--All--' every time the Item screen is opened — for the same Item or a different one — showing whole-of-life figures.

  • Its options are '--All--' plus each FBT year (shown simply as the year, e.g. 2027) spanned by the linked Contract's billing schedule.

  • Choosing a year windows Life Budget and Life Disbursements to that FBT year only.

  • The Item Summary heading and its "Total Inc. GST" basis label do not change when a year is selected — the selector's own displayed value is the only indication the figures are windowed.

  • Remaining Cycles, Next Date, Deduction Per Pay, Total Deduction, and Final Disbursement Due are not affected by the selection — they always show the whole schedule.

  • Edit/Vary is unavailable while a specific year is selected — return the selector to '--All--' to edit.

  • An Item with no linked Contract does not show this selector.

How It Works

  1. Open an Employee Package Item.

  2. The FBT Year Ending selector defaults to '--All--', showing whole-of-life figures.

  3. Select a specific FBT year from the dropdown — you'll see just the year (e.g. 2027), not a full date.

  4. Life Budget and Life Disbursements update to reflect only that FBT year.

  5. To edit or vary the item, return the selector to '--All--' first.

Expected Behaviour

Whole-of-Life View ('--All--')

  • Life Budget and Life Disbursements show the item's full life-to-date totals.

  • Edit/Vary is available.

Specific FBT Year Selected

  • Life Budget and Life Disbursements are windowed to the selected FBT year.

  • Remaining Cycles, Next Date, Deduction Per Pay, Total Deduction and Final Disbursement Due are unaffected.

  • Edit/Vary is unavailable until the selector is returned to '--All--'.

Navigating Away and Back

  • Whatever year was selected, re-opening the same Item (or opening a different one) always resets the selector to '--All--'.
