Browser & Device Setup
Adding the Driver Portal to Home Screen
The Driver Portal can be added directly to your mobile device home screen so it behaves like an app. This makes it quicker to access vehicle, lease, and salary packaging information without needing to open a browser and type the address each time.
This process is slightly different depending on whether you are using an Apple or Android device.
iPhone and iPad (Safari)
On Apple devices, the Driver Portal is added using Safari.
Start by opening Safari on your iPhone or iPad, then navigate to the Driver Portal by either clicking the link provided by your organisation or typing the portal URL directly into the address bar.
Once the portal has loaded, tap the share icon at the bottom of the screen. This is the square icon with an arrow pointing upward.
From the menu that appears, scroll down and select “Add to Home Screen”.
You will be prompted to confirm the name of the shortcut. Once saved, the portal icon will appear on your home screen and can be launched like a regular app.
Android (Chrome)
On Android devices, the process is handled through Google Chrome.
Open Chrome on your phone or tablet and navigate to the Driver Portal using either a direct link or by entering the URL manually.
Once the page has loaded, tap the menu icon in the top right corner (three dots).
From the menu, select either “Add to Home Screen” or “Install app”, depending on your device and browser version.
Confirm the action and the portal shortcut will be added to your home screen.
Operating system and browser settings
Catch-e is designed to run in supported modern browsers, but behaviour can vary depending on device type and configuration.
Internal users
Full access to Catch-e is supported through modern, compatible browsers as defined by your organisation’s IT standards. Using an up-to-date browser ensures the best performance and compatibility across all system functions.
External users
External roles such as drivers, fleet managers, group managers, package employees, package advisors, and FBT declaration users can access Catch-e through supported browsers including Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and in some cases Internet Explorer.
These users typically access the system via a secure link provided by their organisation, often embedded within an external website or portal.
iPad support
Catch-e can be used on iPads through Safari for externally accessed screens, including approval workflows.
For best results, the following settings are recommended:
ensure “Block Pop-ups” is turned off in Safari settings
access the system using the correct iPad-specific URL format provided by your organisation
Detailed setup instructions are available in the iPad configuration guide.
Multiple sessions
You can run two sessions of Catch-e in a browser.
Third Party Toolbars
Third party toolbars e.g. yahoo, and Google often include additional security options such as popup blocking that can interfere with the operation of Catch-e. If Catch-e is still not working correctly after applying all of the suggested settings below, please try disabling / removing these toolbars.
Browser Add-ons
Occasionally a faulty add-on can interfere with the operation of Catch-e.
If you're experiencing strange browser behaviour when navigating around the system, the best way to diagnose if an add-on is the cause is to temporarily disable them. Once disabled, you can re-enable them one by one as you test for a resolution.
