Managing driver events and notifications

Events

Event records are used to record, track, and report on system and user-generated activity across multiple modules.

Event screens exist for:

  • Clients

  • Quotes

  • Contracts

  • Drivers

  • Employees

  • Suppliers

All driver events can be viewed at:

Fleet → Administration → Events → Drivers

Employee Events can also be created by scheduler jobs and configured to:

  • Send emails

  • Generate reports

  • Store sent SMS texts

Deidentify Driver Data

Description

A system generated event created when a driver's data has been deidentified. Visit the process page Deidentify Driver Data for more details.


Event Queries

Driver events can be created by scheduler jobs and these can be configured to:

  • Send emails

  • Send SMS messages

  • Generate reports

  • Store sent SMS texts

Mail Query

Use a Mail Query to:

  • Send emails or SMS messages

  • Attach template attachments (e.g. PDF)

  • Attach query attachments (e.g. Excel files)

Event Query

Use an Event Query to:

  • Record an event where an email or SMS is not required

  • Attach query-generated files if needed

If you would like Catch-e to set up a scheduler job to generate client events, contact your Account Manager.


Query Parameters

The following parameters apply if:

  • The Event Table = Driver

  • The job type = mailQuery

When the mailQuery job runs:

  • The system date is used as the event Date for any new records created.

Employee Events

Create records here to record and report on events when managing package employees.

  • Can be created manually

  • Can be generated by scheduler jobs

  • Can send emails

  • Can generate reports

  • Can store sent SMS texts
