Ignition: the setup checklist

The five required steps, the Give drivers access button, the two optional steps, and when a brand goes live or off live.

A new portal opens on Ignition. The rest of the menu is locked, and each step unlocks its own page. When all five required steps are done, Give drivers access becomes available.

The badge in the menu shows progress, for example 0/5. Ignition checks the Default brand's setup; other brands go live separately (see below).

Give drivers access

Available once the five steps are done. Choosing it switches the app on for your organisation and unlocks the full portal. Each driver still needs a live novated lease, and must sign in with the email address on their record.

Optional steps

06 Publish a promotionSomething on the Home carousel from a driver's first sign-inCreate promotion
07 Send a welcome notificationLet drivers know the app is ready so they sign inCompose notification

Both are locked until access has been given.

After access

The Ignition card moves to the bottom of the menu, labelled "Optional steps", with progress such as 5/7. Hide Ignition removes it.

A step unticks itself if you remove what it depends on, for example by unpublishing the last FAQ. Access that has been given is not withdrawn, and Default stays live; put the step right.

Brands going live and off live

A brand other than Default goes live automatically once its Branding, Content, Legal and Settings all meet the checks in steps 1 to 4. Until then its drivers see the Default brand.

If a change would leave a live brand other than Default failing any of those checks, the portal asks you to confirm first. The message names the brand and says its drivers will switch to the Default (all) setup until all four areas are complete again. Confirming makes the change and takes the brand off live; Cancel leaves the change unmade and the brand live. This is how a brand is taken off live; there is no separate button. Default is never taken off live.
