JATO Integration Overview

The JATO integration connects Catch-e to JATO's vehicle database so you can import accurate, up-to-date vehicle data directly into your Catch-e environment. Instead of manually creating and maintaining vehicle records, you can discover available vehicles from JATO, review their specifications, and import them as vehicle variants ready for use in the Quotes module.

What the integration does

  • Imports vehicle make, model, variant and specification data from JATO into Catch-e

  • Creates vehicle variant records that are immediately available to the quoting engine

  • Reduces manual vehicle data entry and the maintenance overhead of keeping vehicle records current

  • Keeps a full audit trail of every import, including what was found, fetched and inserted

How the import works

Each import runs through three phases:

  1. Discover
    Catch-e queries JATO for the vehicles available under your subscription and records what it finds. This gives you a list of candidate vehicles before anything is imported.

  2. Specification
    Catch-e fetches the detailed specification data for the discovered vehicles: make, model, variant, and the attribute set for each.

  3. Import
    The fetched vehicles are validated and inserted into Catch-e as vehicle variants, ready for use in quoting.

You can track the progress of an import at any time. Each import records counters as it moves through the phases, so you can confirm an import completed in full or identify where a partial import stopped.

Where the data appears

Imported vehicles are created as vehicle variants in Catch-e. Once an import completes, the new variants are available for selection when building quotes, with the make, model, variant and specification data populated from JATO.

Frequently asked questions

Does the import overwrite my existing vehicle records? No. Imports insert new vehicle variant records and every import is recorded with a full audit trail.

Can imports run on a schedule? Imports are currently run on demand through the API. If you have a requirement for scheduled imports, contact your account manager.

Which markets are supported? Vehicle coverage depends on your JATO subscription. Contact your account manager if you need to confirm which markets your subscription includes.
